Walkin’ in a Faery Wood
With Christmas tide a’comin’_
We leapt for joy as all we could;
Swirlin’ in the dance.
With bells the Faeryfolk were shod
And I in winter-clothed_
Unto the Yule we gave a nod
Our minds suffused with Light.
In dulce jubilee_
We sang with pure delight.
Faery their mystic lutes a-strummin’
Stormin’ up the tide!
I in polyphonic voice
Did sing their solstice carol_
That was the very faery choice
Upon their Pagan Hill.
Sweet tunes we merry sang,
There at Tara Lough
Where the Ráth of Kringle opens
Revealin’ the Yulefire glow!
So mote it be!
